This extensive one-day workshop will take you through the professional tapeless workflow of LIFT's new XDCAM cameras. This HD camera format uses the SXS Memory Card flash memory device and produces images in slow and fast motion with a 1080p, 720p and 1080i HD pixel count. Participants will explore this digital video camera features and functions, shoot a scene, then using Final Cut Pro complete the post-production workflow. Also discussed will be interlaced and progressive, CMOS vs CCD chips and SxS cards vs PHU-60K Hard Disk. This workshop is ideal for those who are looking to make their first HD film.
Basic HD knowledge is strongly recommended as a prerequisite.
Instructor:
Vince Kesavamoorthy was trained in cinematography by Mr. Richard Leiterman. Vince has completed many projects as cinematographer, and is always looking for interesting projects to film and light. He is currently shooting and producing the award winning TV series, The What Is, for ichannel in Canada (www.twixterstv.com). He recently completed his short film De-Limited using LIFT's Aaton XTR camera, which is currently circulating at festivals internationally.
