This is a documentary series featuring stories about human interaction with water. The 13 part television series explores issues of common concern in the indigenous community in Canada. Stories range from revival of canoe making to dangers posed by industry and development. The second season of SAMAQAN focuses on ocean-related stories and upon the hopes and fears associated with human influenced disasters. The filmmakers take a long hard look at the impact of energy on the purity of our oceans, rivers and wildlife. The website offers behind-the-scenes footage as well as bonus interview material.
