WORKSHOP AND EVENT DISCOUNTS
LIFT is a not-for-profit, artist-run film centre which supports and encourages independent filmmaking through the exchange of information and access to equipment and facilities. They give numerous hands-on film training workshops throughout the year, many of which are doc related. DOC Toronto members receive LIFT member rates when they sign up for these workshops. Women in Film & Television – Toronto (WIFT-T) is a not-for-profit professional organization that supports women in screen-based media (film, television and digital media) to build, advance and sustain their careers nationally and internationally. WIFT-T does this through hands-on high quality programming, mentoring, networking, and industry events that recognize the talents and potential of women. Thinking of joining WIFT for the first time? DOC Toronto Members are eligible to receive a 10% discount on a 2010 WIFT Membership. The NFB Mediatheque is a public access point for groundbreaking NFB films located at 150 John Street in the heart of Toronto's Entertainment District. A centre for media literacy and a public access to the NFB's film collection the Mediatheque's Digital Viewing Stations, educational programming, screenings and special events have attracted more than 500,000 visitors since its doors opened in 2002.
